Each chalets has an en suite bathroom with hot and cold water shower and toilet. There are no power points, however, we do have a facility to charge phones, lap tops, cameras, etc.

I understand that covid has really affected tourism all over the world so the fact that the beachside chalet was looking like it needed a bit of maintenance is ok, but the fact that there was quite a lot of litter lying around in the grounds of the lodge should not happen.

Out host Yolande was very friendly and welcoming and the dinner prepared for us was good & the staff very friendly. Beware the portions are large but tasty!

If you are coming in by road the first half the drive from the turnoff is mostly good with a portion having been quite recently graded and maintained - the 2nd half his steep, rocky and rutted in parts & there are may villages and people along the way.

As someone in a previous review said the noise from the fishing village on the perimeter is pretty constant through the night, The view of the lake from the chalet was great & the beach was well maintained.

Isanga Bay Lodge is an absolute gem nestled on the Zambian side of Lake Tanganyika. I simply cannot recommend it more highly. The managers, Morkel, Yolanda and their girls are hospitality sector lifers and it shows in every single thing they do. They simply cannot do enough to make all their guests stay more special and you really feel like you are part of their family (but, and this was Important for me, completely unobtrusively). The three beach chalets are delightfully located and I had hot showers every day. Great food with a hot flask of water brought to make your filter coffee delivered in the early hours of the morning. Super smooth transfers to and from the lodge and exceptional value for money... honestly what more could one ask for... the day trip to Kalambo Falls was a real highlight as was kayaking for hours on their pristine bay. I’d worry about this gem getting out too far for fear it could be overrun but with the way the managers are leading it, it just won’t happen. Well done and for sure I will return x

We wish to express our greatest satisfaction in staying at Isanga Bay from 12th to 17th September 2020.

We were warmly welcomed by Morkel and Yolande at the beach with a special drinks as we arrive to the lodge, that made us feel special.

We felt ourselves in exotic island with White sand Beach and Clear shallow water. Surrounding area was well maintained and immaculate. The view from the beach front Shalets were amazing and the sound of the waves were very relaxing.

Friendly staff were supportive during our stay by offering high care service. They even went extra mile by helping us keep an eye on our Five and Two years old kids who enjoyed Swimming and Playing on the beach all day long.

Affordable accommodation in stunning surroundings. Lovely clear water to swim in, canoes to use free of charge, excellent food at the restaurant. The camping area has lovely ablutions and a very neat washing up area. We loved our stay

Had such a lovely time at Isanga Bay. Felt like we were on an Island with lovely weather and beautiful sunsets! Swam all day and enjoyed the kayaking too...water is beautifully clear so you can even see some pretty fish with goggles and a snorkel. The dinner at the restaurant was amazing...fresh soft mouth watering fish fillet:)
Amazing place with lovely people running it and affordable prices. Will definitely go there again!

We spent 2 days here and wish we'd spent longer - it is such a beautiful spot, very peaceful and well managed accommodation. The food was also excellent - best fish no chips we'd had in a long time and the kids enjoyed some excellent steak. The hosts were very welcoming and all the staff very professional. We drove there - the road was rough but not too bad as long as you leave plenty of time. The snorkeling was beautiful and we also enjoyed the free use of the kyaks. We will definitely return!

We reached Isangabay by road. It's a hard (but nice) 3-hours trip from Mbala. The welcome by Moorkel and Yolande (managers) was very warm. We parked our car on the beach of theTanganika Lake. May-be one of the most nice places from Zambia. We stayed there camping for 3 days. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The food was excellent. The evenings were splendid! From there we visited the Kalambo Falls (220m) on the Tanzanian border, by foot....it was hard to leave a place like that! Thank you Moorkel & Yolande

I spent a couple of night at Isanga Bay after my last meeting with the Client. I received a very warm welcome from the managers. The food was excellent, well done and well prepared in the dish. If you're in the Mpulungu area DA NON PERDERE!

We had a lovely, peaceful, stay at your lodge. Our hosts were very considerate and helpful. We had an awesome time and we could catch up with lost sleep! The food was nice and we loved the fresh fish and chips every day! The lodge is in a process of revamping the rooms. Suggestions to make it more comfortable: 1. New mattresses 2. Cotton linen and 3. pillows (a must!) 4. New Towels. 5. Cold drinking water in the rooms.
The fresh local filter coffee was divine which was brought to our room every morning!
